“For most of the wild things on earth, the future must depend upon the conscience of mankind” A fun zoo activity was held in GGSPS on 9.8.2019 under the supervision of Mrs. Malhi .A zoo was created in activity room of the school .Little kudos were dressed amazingly in different animal dresses. A ticket counter was made to get the entry tickets for the kids. After the entrance students started to recognize the different animals and their names by their appearance . In this fun activity little champs also enjoyed dance .The motto behind this activity was to aware children about the animal's importance in our life and their relation with the environment .
"आया तीज का त्योहार ,लेकर खुशियों की बहार, पूरी हो हर मुराद, मिले खुशियां अपार, मुबारक हो आपको तीज का त्योहार।" The Teej festival was celebrated in the school campus on Saturday 3.8.2019. The students were dressed in traditional Punjabi attires and looked amazingly good. The venue was dance room which was very well decorated according to the theme with a nicely done-up swing in the garden area .The competition of Giddha was performed by the girls of the four houses Cassiopeia,Orion,Hercules, Phoenix. In this competition the Orion house got Ist position with, Hercules got 2nd position , Phoenix got 3rd position. Class 1 girls gave beautiful solo dance performances . Pre Primary children too had a gala time in the activity zone wherein they put bangles tobeach other and applied mehendi on the little palms. Teachers and kids swang on the swings and sang songs as per the tradition. Addressing the kids, The Principal of the school Ms. Malhi said about the importance of this beautiful colourful festival and mentioned that it was primarily a festival celebrated by girls and women who sang songs and performed dances and that it was mainly celebrated in the northern and western parts of India. Principal Ms.Malhi addressed the audience and appreciated the performances of the students and their house wardens. The event concluded with the Giddha of the staff.
“Chess holds its master in its own bonds, shackling the mind and brain so that the inner freedom of the very strongest must suffer.” Inter House Chess competition was held on 31 July 2019at GGSPS Nainowal Vaid. The participants showed great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed playing Chess. The matches clearly brought forth the eagerness with which our students were building their skills in Chess. Children adhered to the proper rules and regulations. The winning participants made their Houses proud and also enabled them to grab some House points. Cassiopeia got the first position with 8 points, followed by Hercules House with 7 points and Phoenix and Orion House with 5 points. The whole credit goes to our respected Principal ma’am, Ms Swinder Kaur Malhi, without her guidance and persistent support; this event would not have been a real success. She always encourages students to actively participate in the plethora of co-curricular activities which the school offersfrom time to time
"Music is poetry ,Poetry are lyrics to the soul." The English Poem Elocution competition of class III to V was held on 25.07.2019 in the Knowledge Theatre of GGSPS . This competition at school level gives students a good opportunity to combat with the biggest fear factor i.e. stage fear . It is an attempt of school to promote English speaking skill. The poems were Spring Season, The Rainbow, Class V is a special place in students life. The participants showed their confidence, expressions and talent. The selection was based on mainly four criteria’s i.e. content , confidence, pronunciation and presentation. The poems were exciting and judging the winners was difficult. Principal Ms. Malhi really appreciated and applauded the students.Grade V got first position, Grade IV got 2nd position, Grade III got 3rd position in this competition
The season of showers has begun. The rain brings along with it the nature beauty- beautiful raindrops and colorful rainbow. The season is most awaited, especially by children. Rainy Day is always fun for the kids if it is celebrated in the school. Moreover it makes the school environment light. The students of classes Nursery, Prep 1, Prep2 were brought out in open by their teachers with umbrellas. The kids really had a festivity time with their teachers and friends. They loved floating paper boats, dance on the music and enjoy the splash in the puddle in rain. Principal, Mrs. Swinder Kaur Malhi told that such activities assist the kids to become extroverts. Even the students too become friendly with everybody in this learning environment.
'If ever you wish to gift the best gift to your children , gift them enthusiasm' With this belief, we at GGSPS wish to gift the same to our tiny tots. The happiness, the charm, the spark and the zeal to rush towards the Activity Zone of the school was observed as the kids moved into the room. The pre primary children had lot of fun cycling, rocking and sliding. This happy environment shall provide opportunities for the little ones to be involved in the life of the school. Kids develop social skills and get the experience of leadership opportunities that will help them grow into well-rounded humans.
“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters." A Spell Bee Competition was organized on 24 July, 2019 for grade I & H. Children participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiatives were appreciated by one and all. This competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competitions that give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways and improves the reading skills. This competition helped the students to improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English. The parents of the final contestants were invited and they all were thrilled with the performances and efforts made by the school. The Principal of the school Ms. Malhi guided parents to motivate their wards to read booked so that they can develop themselves for their future. She also suggested them to gift their children with books to read stories or solve crosswords. Overall it was an enthusiastic presentation.
“Show your talent we’ll make it shine because talent is vital” A talent hunt competition was organized in GGSPS on 20 July, 2019 at school level to encourage the children to come forward and to show their talents. The main reason behind organizing this competition is to nurture the intrinsic qualities of students and remove the fear of stage among students which helps in personality development. Students exhibited their talent in various activities like Singing, Instrumental playing, Mono acting, Mimicry, Dance. Students gave a wonderful show. At the end of the program Principal of the school Ms. Malhi encouraged the students to take part in co- curricular activities to increase their confidence for their growth and to face any kind of situation in life confidently. She also mentioned that it is very important to organize co- curricular activities in school to groom their personalities and promised to arrange these kind of activities for the development of pupils .
"Go green, choose cycles over cars this World Environmnet Day. A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. ..." Beat Air pollution is this Environment Day's theme. GGSPS has always beleived in making an environment loving school and so we keep planting trees. This World Environment Day too was a special day as the GGES president S. Tarsem Singh initiated by planting trees in the school campus. Sarpanch Seva Singh, Nambardaar Satnaam Singh Dhillon, S. Avtaar Singh Sekhon, Daljeet Singh, Advocate Tejinder pal Singh Cheema and Harpreetpal Singh along with many other know personalities were present and planted trees. The Principal Mrs. Malhi said that we need to deeply understand and take steps to make this earth a beautiful place for our children to live in and shall be planting trees throughout the year.
"Come on everyone let's have some pool fun." 'Splash,splash everywhere pubbles of water here and there" water play is an inevitable part of pre-school curriculum as it helps in gross motor development, eye hand co-ordination and also helps in vocabulary development. Pool party was organized in GGSPS today, 4-5-19 in the school premises under the supervision of the Principal Mrs. Swinder Kaur Malhi with the help of kindergarten teacher. The little ones welcomed the showers of the splashes with their pool activity. Bubbling with excitement and enthusiasm in their colourfull swim suits The children throughly enjoyed the water games and rain dance activity. Jumping in the water,splashing water at their friends and playing with floating toys was so much fun to watch. Lots of learning being happening with such activities here. Kudos GGSPians
" How are birthday cakes and kids alike? They both are sweet. " Happy times are cherished when celebrations go on....Today, 29th May, 2019 was a day of joy as the birthday celebrations of May Birdies were on. Kids danced , played games and sang for each other. They blew off the candles and cut the cake. The Principal Mrs. Malhi blessed each and every student and told them that they all are special in their own ways and need to respect elders and become good humans. Kudos May Birdies...🔔🎊🎉🎁🎂
"Great school bus drivers not only just drive, they care for their students" Anyone can drive a car but it takes Someone Special to drive a school bus. And we at GGSPS are thankful to have such inspiring and enthusiastic team of drivers and nannies. Well trained individual is always an example for others and we keep training our staff so that they can add their share in the grooming of kids. Today, the school transport manager Mr. Ramesh trained the nannies about the safety tips to follow while on route. Here are a few glimpses......
Art plays a significant role in our children’s development. When our children are young, we are excited when they bring home a watercolor painting or hand-drawn cards. Clay is one medium that promotes creativity. It helps promote self-confidence, encourages self-expression and develops problem-solving skills. To inculcate these skills in our little GGSPians we had organized Play Dough Day in school today 18th May, 2019. The children made beautiful structures with clay... Here are a few glimpses.... "Colours are indeed the smiles of nature" Guru Gobind Singh Public School Nainowal Vaid, on 15 May 2019, Red Day was celebrated in school with great enthusiasm. The Red colour signifies the strength, power and determination. It is a colour of attraction. It was a great ful day. All the children looked cute in their red colour dress. The teachers were also dressed in red to signify their unity. The children came to know the Red fruit and vegetables along with their importance. Teachers made a take away Apple, Lady Bug and Goggles for students. Indeed Red Day was a learning activity which will have a long lastic effect on each student.
Mother's Day is a special day for all mothers and children as, it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting .Mother's are the emotional backbone of the family, who have the magic touch to heal all wounds and make all things beautiful. To thanks and to show respect to the mothers Mother's Day was celebrated in GGSPS on 11.5.2019 a day prior ,under the guidance of Principal Ms.Swinder Kaur Malhi .On this occassion Ms. Meenakshi Saini HMO of civil hospital Tanda was the guest of honour. Mothers were specially invited to spend a memorable day filled with activities and fun .The venue was aptly decorated in keeping with the theme . Parents were entertained by myriad presentations by juniors and seniors .Rhyme recitations, songs, speeches, dance performances and games like Tambola and lucky draw were arranged and prizes were also given to the winners of both games respectively all the performances exalted the mothers as God ,teacher,friend,philosopher and guide and emphasised the truth that a mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. Principal mam and the guest also gave healthy parenting guidelines to the parents for the overall development of their wards. The day ended with all mothers and children enjoying themselves and taking back fond memories of a day well spent.
" Mothers are the greatest teachers, teacher of love, compassion and fearlessness. If love is as sweet as a flower then mothers are that sweet flower of love" Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year. The students of GGSPS are all set to wish their mothers ' A Very Happy Mother's Day'. A week long programme of making cards in their art lesson have shown the love the children have for their mothers. May God bless them all with happiness and good health. Thank you dear mothers....
"Where learning is always fun.....and joy is doubled " We at GGSPS rejoice our learning by doing such activities which bring joy and increase the learning ability of every child. Today all kids of Prep 2 were engrossed in learning Hindi concept . A few glimpses here..

You are just talking." Earth Day was celebrated at GGSPS with great joy and learning. Students across all classes planted decorative plants in school garden. They were so inquisitive about knowing the facts behind the celebration which made the learning so joyful. Let's join hands in hands to make the environment a better place for our children to live in....
A good beginning makes a big difference .A new year gives you a chance to begin new and fresh.It is an opportunity to look ahead and work harder to make it better and a brighter future. To start a new and first session of Guru Gobind Singh Public School,path of Shri Sukhmani sahib ji was organised on 20 April 2019 in the school premises under the supervision of Principal Mrs. Swinder Kaur Malhi . On this occasion students and staff sang holy hymns which made the environment spiritual .On this auspicious time President S. Tarsem singh ,the committee members S. Tarlochan Singh and S. Jagir Singh were also present .At this time langar was also arranged by GGSPS which was served by the students and teachers of GGSPS .May God shower all his blessings on the school and management and bless the school to raise the heights
To accomplish this motto on 26.04.2019 a poem recitation competition was arranged in GGSPS from Nursery to Prep II under the supervision of Principal Ms. Swinder Kaur Malhi. School President S. Tarsem Singh, Committee members S. Tarlochan Singh and S. Mohan Singh gave their gracious presence and were overwhelmed with the display of poems by the little GGSPians. Students gave their best and got positions respectively. From Nursery A- Sanchita got first position ,Avantika and Anshpreet got second position, Gurfateh got third position. From Nursery B- Gurman Kaur got first position, Rehmanveer got second position, Gurekam got third position. From Nursery C- Armaan got first position, Saksham got second position, Harseerat got third position. Students gave their performances very well. Principal, Mrs. Malhi encouraged the students to take part in such extra co-curricular activities in future also for their all round development and build confidence.
All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.” A celebration regarding Labors Day was organized in GGSPS on 1 May 2019 under the supervision of Principal Ms. Swinder Kaur Malhi. At this time,management member S. Mohan Singh was also present. In this celebration all the teaching and non teaching staff of the school was present there. To throw a light on this day a speech was given by Japneet Kaur student of class 5 and Ms. Navneet Kaur explained the importance of this day. At this time helping staff also share their views that they are feeling happy and respected in the school. To make this day special for the helping staff different games were arranged for them such as balloon game, musical chair, lemon race etc. Principal Mam and Mohan Sir congratulate the winners and gave them lovely presents. Principal Mam thanked the helping staff for their help and for making the environment of GGSPS vibrant.
You've probably heard the phrase, ''It's as simple as ABC,'' but is teaching the alphabet really such a simple and straightforward process? ''Enhancing Alphabet Knowledge Instruction'' is the best practice that we at GGSPS believe in and apply in the teaching learning process. We also consider activities and best practices from a range of sources that help students to recognize and name uppercase and lowercase letters. 1. Identifying the letter name and sound. 2. Recognizing the letter in text. 3. Focus on producing the letter form.Today Prep 1 class students were introduced to lower case and the sounds made by them. Kudos had lo.t of fun in learning and grasped the concept with ease.
Special Assembly on Baisakhi was organised at Guru Gobind Singh Public School with zeal and enthusiasm. Students attired in colourful traditional dresses of Punjab, performed Bhangra and Gidda, which was applauded by the audience with thundering applauds. Students presented various cultural programmes depicting the culture of Punjab narrated poems, showcased solo dance and speech. Principal, Mrs. Swinder Kaur Malhi in her address apprised the students about the importance of the day and also appreciated an active participation of beginners in the celebration. Principal Mrs. Swinder Kaur Malhi took over the stage with head held high to receive the award at Hotel Lalit Chandigarh on 12th April, 2019. Principals from top schools all over India were also present and were honoured by the great educationists from NCERT and CBSE. Panel discussions on transforming education, 21st century pedagogy and implementation of experiential learning were highlighted. “Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like as it leads to critical thinking.” A happiness program was organized in GGSPS on 23rd March 2019 under the supervision of the principal of GGSPS, Mrs. Swinder Kaur Malhi in the school premises. Principal of Saint Warriors School Mr. Paramvir Singh with his staff and educators of GGSPS Mohali were a part of this program. Mr. Manjit Rana and Mr. Pradeep kumar, officials of Delhi Government were the mentors of this program. In this happiness program, they explained the importance of internal happiness, skill and mindset for life, difference between goal and medium to achieve real happiness etc. By this happiness program they also told how happiness affects not only an individual but also his family and the society. It was a positive step for all who were present in this program to realize that happiness is an essential part of life by which a person and the people around him can grow in a right way in this era of stress. The surprising finding is that our relationships and how happy we are in our relationships has a powerful influence on our health. Taking care of your body is important, but tending to your relationships is a form of self care too.” To bring this awareness and to bring a healthy environment in oneselves lives……
The first day of school –The day when countdown to the last day of school begins, it is a milestone for both parents and child. On 18th March 2019 GGSPS started the first Academic session under the supervision of Principal Mrs. Swinder Kaur Malhi. Students came in school uniform. They were looking very happy at the first day of the school. They enjoyed a lot of activities such as sports activities, movies etc. They were very excited. They made new friends. They got special gifts from the Principal mam. Little kudos were looking very confident when they were going back to their homes. The first day of school was full of fun and happiness. May they shine bright with their efforts
Being happy is something you have to learn and together may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly. Together we can face any challenges as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky to accomplish this a small get together was organized in GGPS on 7 march 2019 where in children came in colour full party dresses. They enjoyed a plethora of activities, had a lot of dance and had a gala time in school they enjoyed refreshments during this get together. Little kudos enjoyed each and every movement under the supervision of the principal of the GGPS Mrs.Sawinder Kaur Malhi and all the staff members of the school. GGPS believes that happy mind is a healthy mind and such activities for the junior kids will be a part of the curriculum in the coming years too.
Effective professional development enables educators to develop the knowledge and skills they need to address student’s learning challenges ……professional development is not effective unless it causes teachers to improve their instructions or causes administrators to become better school leaders. To motivate the teachers of GGPS a workshop was conducted under the supervision of the principal of GGPS Mrs.Sawinder Kaur Malhi by Dr.Gurmeet Kaur Gill on 8march 2019 in the school premises. The principal of the St.Warriors School with his staff members joined this workshop also. In this workshop many new effective and essential teaching aids and methods were introduced to help the students for effective learning. The teachers of both schools gave a positive response and felt very encouraged after the workshop. Now all the teachers are geared up to start the new session 2019-2020 and to get best out from their student.

The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Nainowal Vaid with great enthusiasm. The pre primary students enjoyed the thumb painting activity. They were taught the significance of the three colours and wheel of the Indian flag.Flag hoisting was done by the Principal of the school, Mrs.Swinder Kaur Malhi. It followed the activities of the teachers.The school wishes a very Happy Republic Day to all the parents and their children.
